We are a design consultancy specialising in creative direction, branding and graphic design. We craft meaningful and considered design experiences. We observe, understand and assist brands communicate using simple yet impactful ideas, demonstrated by our expanding portfolio of (award-winning) multidisciplinary work.
In 2019, we were appointed by the Prime Minister’s Office Singapore as the brand identity designer for the Singapore Bicentennial national campaign. We were named as one of Singapore’s top twelve standout agencies by Campaign Brief Asia in 2021.
Principal
Jonathan Yuen is a graphic designer and design educator with over two decades of professional experience.
He is the founder and creative director of Roots, a design studio recognised for its work in branding, creative strategy, communication, packaging, book, exhibitions, and digital design.
At Roots, Jonathan oversees the studio’s creative direction, fostering a contemporary visual approach characterised by honesty, thoughtfulness, and restraint, with a strong emphasis on delivering meaningful and idea-driven design experiences.
